You know the voice in your head that says you are "too much" or "not enough"?
It's time that voice started being nicer.
What is an ADHD therapy intensive?
In an ADHD therapy intensive, we are going to take a deep dive to address
all 3 essential needs for ADHD healing.
  1. Understanding ADHD and the many ways it is showing up in your life and determining how and if medication is going to be part of your treatment plan.
  2. Building skills to help you identify and overcome the challenges in your environment and habits that make your ADHD more problematic. Find and lean into the parts of your ADHD that help you flourish.
  3. Repairing the damage caused from the negative messages you have received about yourself because of your ADHD. This is the most overlooked and essential components to ADHD treatment!
Why therapy intensive
The ultimate ADHD friendly treatment
Every part of the therapy intensive experience is intentionally designed in a way that works best for the ADHD brain.
Do therapy in the way that works best for your brain.
If you have ADHD, your brain does not like always like what it needs. This is because what your brain needs (help regulating energy, attention, and emotions), is typically taught in ways that are boring, repetitive, and labor intensive. Your brain will do best when it has novelty, urgency, and fun. Your brain is already working overtime. Let's make therapy easy and do it in a way your brain can appreciate.
Stop wasting your time and money.
For people with undertreated or unmanaged ADHD, traditional therapy often looks like session after session of catching up on the latest crisis and trying to repeatedly repair the same mistakes. You often spend a lot of time treating the consequences of your ADHD rather than the root cause of your challenges-your ADHD itself. This can feel like being on an expensive treadmill. You might "feel better" but you aren't seeing significant change.
Address the areas of ADHD that impact your life the most.
Stop feeling burned out. Stop lashing out at the people around you because you are overstimulated or bored. Stop hiding your true self and doubting your capabilities. And most of all, stop working so hard. You deserve to be able to confidently drop your mask, form genuine friendships, and have the time and resources for the rest and play you need. I'm going to show you how all of this is possible in a way that is easy for your brain.
You don't need to work harder. You need to work lighter-unburdened from shame and embarrassment.
Investment
A therapy intensive gives you an opportunity to see significant progress in a short amount of time. With ADHD, you can't afford to allow your symptoms to be unmanaged. The consequences of ADHD are too impactful on the areas of life that matter the most-your relationships, your financial success, your physical well-being, and your inner peace.

Your Provider
Meet Heather
Hi, I'm Heather and I can't wait to see you thrive. As someone with lived experience with ADHD, I truly get it. As someone who has worked in healthcare for over 22 years, with over 18 years as a Nurse Practitioner treating ADHD, I know how challenging it is to find a provider who will take the time to actually listen to you and create a tailored plan specific to your unique needs. I know how even more rare it is to find a provider who really understands ADHD and how to treat the parts of ADHD that most impact your life. My model of care is very different. I don't offer rushed appointments. Why-because rushed care isn't even good care, and you deserve great care. If you have ever been frustrated by your ADHD treatment or tried "everything" and still stayed "stuck", you are going to love working with me. This isn't about learning ADHD "mind tricks." This is about true healing. If you are ready to stop feeling overwhelmed, less-than, and ashamed and start living with focus, confidence, and clarity, then schedule a call so we can get started.

***You must be located in NC or VA at the time of service for group therapy or therapy intensives. My ADHD Virtual Course (which, I'm proud to say, is amazing), is available to all.

FAQs
Do I have to attend the group sessions live?
Yes, you will need to mark your calendar and plan to attend the twice weekly group sessions.
What should I expect in a skill building session?
During the skill building sessions, we will practice the skills you have learned in your daily on-demand lessons. This includes practicing dropping your mask, noticing and naming feelings, mindfulness, and so much more! You will practice and learn in a safe space with others with ADHD.
What should I expect in a processing session?
In our processing session, we will utilize Brainspotting to help your nervous system loosen and even release the activation it holds from the negative messages you have received about your ADHD. We will do this with specific techniques to facilitate grounding and prepare you to be able to continue this practice after your intensive.
Can I continue my individual therapy?
Of course! You will likely find that your individual therapy becomes much more effective when your ADHD is better managed. By digging in and doing the work of healing with ADHD, you will create more space for any other healing you may also need.
How do I know if this program is right for me?
You must be an adult 18 or older located in NC or VA at the time of your service and be committed to taking control of your ADHD. We will go over any questions or concerns during your consultation call. If this program isn't going to be a good fit for you, I will let you know.
Will you take over my medication management?
No. My schedule does not currently have availability for individual medication management. However, you will learn everything you need to know in order to determine if you want medication to be part of your treatment plan and how to access this treatment and advocate for your needs.
